AlphaShield

Putting up an Internet firewall on your "always on" high speed DSL or cable connection usually means installing some software. Ironically, all software--including firewall software--by nature, is still vulnerable to malicious attack. Ergo, hardware, by nature, is better.

AlphaShield is a small device that hooks up between your modem and your computer where it effectively hides your computer's identity from the outside world.

It also actively monitors your Internet traffic with its Real-time Packet Authorization (RPA) technology and denies access of the untoward and otherwise unauthorized. Set up is as simple as plugging it in and, thereafter, it needs no configuring, updating, patching or maintenance.

As an Internet monitoring device, AlphaShield does not care what operating system you use and is compatible with all of them.

AlphaShield also employs "AlphaGap" technology which will, if desired, "logically disconnect" one's computer from the Internet when not in use yet retain your ISP's assigned IP, then re-establish the connection in a blink, without the bothersome delay of renewing IP addresses or rebooting the modem.
