C-7000 Zoom

If you're looking for a digital camera that features function before form--and a surplus of mega in the pixels--, the Olympus C-7000 Zoom is all that.

As opposed to Olympus' stylin' Stylus Verve, the C-7000 Zoom has a more traditional housing. Meanwhile, it boasts all the features of the Stylus Verve and then some, including a whopping 7.1 Megapixel CCD sensor and several manual setting options (it will also do the point & shoot thing in its sleep), like its Autofocus (AF) Target Selection function which allows users to choose from 143 different AF target zones; an on-the-fly histogram revealing overexposed and underexposed areas in the field of view before you snap them (which is exciting only to those who know what a "histogram" is in the first place), and even "My Mode" settings that allow knowledgeable users to make custom combinations of white balance, sharpness, contrast, and other presets.

It also features Time-Lapse Interval Shooting, RAW Data Recording (for PC-Based Post-Processing) as well as a Red-Eye Fix function is built right into the camera.

Favoring the high end of the bell curve, the C-7000 Zoom packs a competitive punch.
