Cord Free Hands Free Magnetic Induction Headset

Originally designed with cell phone users in mind, foneGear's Cord Free Headset also happens to be innately compatible with Xbox as a Communicator headset alternative.

The Borg-like, rechargeable clip-on earpiece and boom mic uses patented Magnetic Induction Technology to communicate with the transceiver, which is the hardware that actually tethers to your Xbox controller while your skull doesn't. This means you can put down your controller or toss it in frustration without worrying about ripping your ear off. You can even walk away with the unit clasped to your ear, though communication range is only good to about six feet.

The headset bundle boasts "ultra low" power consumption, bilking about 25 hours of effective use from a single AA battery in the transceiver. The transceiver doubles as the recharging cradle for the headset, drawing from that same AA battery and allowing up to 3 hours of talk time on a single headset charge.

It would be nice if the thing had greater range, but considering the lithe comfort and amazing battery life, a six foot limit is a sensible trade off.
