E-Charger RC Intruder

Dumbing-down the function and drastically reducing the price of remote controlled (RC) airplanes, Spinmaster Toys offers the E-Charger RC Intruder for your consideration.

A light, lithe and lively little twin-prop plane fuelled by an onboard rechargeable battery. Mounted to a docking station -- which itself requires 6 C batteries -- an e-Charger juices up in just a couple of minutes. The propellers are then switch on and its launched by hand; much like one would release a paper airplane. An onboard computer chip sets the e-Charger to "autopilot" for the first few seconds of flight (and the last few seconds as well) at which point manual controlled kicks in, offered through a simple, thumb-stick remote control (which requires a 9V battery). By merely manipulating the power/thrust of one engine or the other, or both, flyers can effect graceful, sometime harrowing flight within a 500-foot radius of the remote for about two minutes. It more-or-less lands itself (grassy open fields recommended; trees are bad… oops), immediately ready for another quick squat on the dock/charger and off it goes again. Pretty cool.
