Where entry-level and middling-grade digital cameras can only pretend and performance and reliability, Fuji’s new FinePix 6900 Zoom truly delivers the state-of-the-art to the general consumer.
For the novice or techno-phobic photographer, the stylish and comfortable 6900 is nearly as simple to use as a point-and-click disposable camera. But the unit is also rich with features; functionally robust enough to make the discerning and the digitally-savvy giddy with appreciation. The 6900 features a 6X aspherical zoom lens (35-210mm equivalent) and boasts resolution up to 6 million pixels; auto settings with full override (manual) options (shutter speed, aperture priority, flash suppression, timer), two view modes (“Through The Lens” or 2” color LCD screen), camcorder functions (creates short AVI files) with onboard playback, 5-frame Burst Mode (0.2 second intervals at 2832x2128 resolution) and USB connectivity. It also includes a removable 16MB SmartMedia Card and a lithium-ion battery w/onboard recharger - the AC adapter for which will also power the camera, if necessary, so if the battery dies, you can just plug it in, turn in on, upload your images to your Windows PC/Laptop, MAC or digital photo printer, then turn it off to let the batteries replenish. If you’re a discriminating hobbyists or a roving professional in an image-assisted line of work (real estate agent, location scout, surveyor, investigator, etc.) the FinePix 6900 Zoom is the camera you’ve been waiting for.
