Inksaver

 

If you're going to get a color inkjet printer--or perhaps already own one and know too well the hidden cost of operating and refilling it--you'll probably want to pick up Strydent's new InkSaver software.

This sweet software suite can cut printing costs by as much as half by allowing users to manually determine how much ink--and from which cartridge--is used per print.

You might be surprised to learn that most printers will squirt a liberal amount of colour ink into plain black text, which might slightly sharpen your term paper text, but reduces the time between replacement ink cartridge purchases--ain't they clever?

Surprising too (perhaps), a print driver's "draft" option does not always mean you're using less ink for a rough copy, but simply allowing you're printer to spew ink faster.
