Ionic Breeze GP Silent Air Purifier

Ionic Breeze GP Silent Air Purifier

Taking their flagship Uber-gadget to the next level, The Sharper Image has just introduced the Ionic Breeze GP.

It's basically the same truly amazing and amazingly cost-effective Silent Air Purifier system as the original Ionic Breeze--the Quadra--, but the addition of "Germicidal Protection" (the "GP" bit) makes it a more attractive air cleaner than ever before.

As always, it has no moving parts--but moves air around just the same with electrostatic slats that charge the air and magnetically trap dust, dander and other dastardly allergens, expelling clean air with nary a whir nor thrum of a motor.

And you don't replace the filters every so often; you simply remove the cartridge and wipe the slats clean with a damp cloth. And forget all that HEPA hoopla, because they've added a Philips Ultraviolet Germicidal Sterilamp to the Ionic mix, so the Breeze GP doesn't just trap, it purportedly kills airborne bacteria, mold and viruses--just in time for the SARS scare. (For you propellerheads: its Germicidal UV-C is at 254 nanometers with photons thus at the exact wavelength to physically destroy the DNA of microorganisms).
