iPaq H3600 Series

Compaq’s iPaq Pocket PC H3600 Series might seem a little tawdry compared to the super-powered handheld digital aides available out there (at twice the price), but if you're just beginning your adventure into the wireless world of palm-sized wonder, an H3600 represents a cost conscious purchase of a long-term asset.

And the H3600s aren't exactly weaklings, either, boasting a 206 MHz Intel StrongArm processor, at least 32MB of SDRAM, 16MB of ROM, ubiquitous wireless capabilities (internet and/or intranets), audio record/playback function (think MP3 player), cross-platform games (wireless play against owners of other PDAs, like PalmPilots), an agreeably colourful, touch sensitive LCD screen and several intuitive navigational thumb thingies. The iPaq 3600 also comes complete with a sweet suite of standard go-get-‘em applications like Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, and Internet Explorer in addition to all the familiar PIM programs (calendar, contacts, Inbox email, etc.). The iPaq 3600 is also expandable and upgradeable, making it a great entry-level unit that's ready to compete with the more sophisticated handjobs out there, as soon as you're ready to spend more money on it.
