It's big, it's bad and it's butt-ugly. It's part "manly gadget," part technological freak-out. It's the Jeep TV Lantern Radio (JXLTV), a veritable Swiss Army Knife of portable electronics and, man alive, is it weird.
It's also rather cool; the "Uber Gizmo" if you will. I mean, just look at all this stuff! Articulating fluorescent lantern and flashlight, blinking beacon of luminescent hope, siren (yes, a siren), FM/AM/WB tuner, five-inch B&W television, electronic mosquito repeller (also works on humans), compass and thermometer. Needs gobs of batteries but also comes with an AC power and cigarette lighter adapter.
And it has a shoulder strap. Yes, that's right, even a shoulder strap. "Oh. Well, then. A shoulder strap. It must be serious..." Apparently it is. Either that or Jeep's Research & Development personnel need to cut down on the methamphetamines.
