MP3-306 MP3 & USB Memory Stick Combo Player

If you're shopping for an MP3 player but don't really fancy those fancy units that store a billion tunes and require a Master's Degree in Geek to use, check out Azio's new MP3-306.

At its most basic, the MP3-306 is a 128MB USB storage device the plugs directly into your PC or MAC and shows up as a removable media drive where you can drag and drop files, easy as pie.

And while you're at it, you might as well throw some MP3 and WMA music files on there, because this thing is also an MP3 player--and a good one, too. It hangs around one's neck like a Medal of Honor gone high-tech, holds 25 - 50 tunes and boasts surprisingly excellent playback quality and volume.

Bic lighter-sized, it houses your basic function buttons (play/pause, fwd/back, vol, etc) and an LCD display. Also comes with its very own AAA battery, which will power the thing for a good 10 hours.

On the downside, buttons are touchy and the "hold" function doesn't apply to on/off, so if you want to hide this Medal of Geek in your pocket, you're in for some aggravating play/pause hiccups.

The Verdict: Excellent Concept. Good Purchase.
