QuickCam Pro 4000

 

Logitech's new QuickCam Pro 4000 is the Shelby Cobra of web cams, all suped up and raring to go. It offers more cam-related features than previously realized, capitalising on the variety of today's computer-based activities. It can capture web quality video at up to 640 x 480 pixels with snippets saved to file for emailing/home movie making. It also acts as a video conferencing tool (in NetMeeting, Messenger, etc) delivering live video at (up to) a whopping 30 frames per second. The Pro 4000 boasts a digital zoom lens to spotlight just your smiling mug or the entire room in which you smile. It has a built-in microphone and plush package of software for video and photo editing and organizing, and even motion detection software that turns the unit in to a security camera actively monitoring your smiling room when you're not in it.

The QuickCam Pro 400 represents the natural evolution of a web cameras; a great deal of utility in a unified, slick and easy-to-install package.
