When I look under my desk, I cringe: too many cables, all mixed up. It's a little frightening and I've been told by more than one woman in my life over the years that "I have to do something about that mess." So here's one of those products that makes a lot of sense--at least until inexpensive wireless "everything" comes a long.
The Startech PC99 4-in-1 Cable integrates four key computer cables into one. It has inputs for audio, mouse, keyboard and even a monitor. For those more advanced gadget lovers, you could chase down a wireless mouse and keyboard to reduce wired clutter.
There are some great products out there, especially from Microsoft and Logitech, but for the frugal tidy, geek, the Startech cable is probably more economical, even if it is less glamorous. The cables come in four sizes: six, 10, 15 and 25 feet.
