Stylus Verve

Stylus Verve

A 4.0 Megapixel camera in a small and sexy housing, the Stylus Verve is pretty much the quintessential point-and-shooter of the digital age.

Apparently inspired by a raindrop, it's small, curvaceous design is pocket friendly and actually comfortable about it, rather than just a tolerable, glad-to-see you lump. The latest in the Stylus line, the Verve is also seriously hardy, with all metal, all weather housing and o-ring gaskets aplenty, which means you can bang it around, drop it and even get it wet without worry (within reason, of course). So much so you can pass it off to the toddlers in the house and see what brilliant, Rainman-esque photos they snap up, with nary a cringe if they happen drop it in the toilet in the process. Seriously. Been there, done that. Whew. Maybe avoid concrete, however...

It comes in a variety of fruity colors, including black or silver if fruit isn't your thing, and features a way cool, space age lens cover mechanism ripped right out of the Star Trek Engineering Guide to Sliding Doors.

Most importantly, right out of the box, you're a power button away from snapping up pix, each pre and post viewed on an appreciably sized 2" LCD screen (there's no squinty eye, nose mashing view finder on it). Also thereon, you can select from a batch of presets for a variety of environments, complete with thumbnail samples your environment, be it beach/ski hill, indoors, soft-light dining, moonlit night time, night time with fireworks, panoramic tourism or what-have-you, along with a few other self-adjusting features like Soft Focus, Fish Eye, Black and White, and Sepia.

Verve also features 2X Optical zoom and 4X digital zoom, runs off a Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery and comes complete with all the requites accessories like charger, USB cable, images software etc.

If all you want from a camera is high end pointing and shooting--that happens to look way stylin'--you want a Stylus Verve.
