Weemote / Weemote2

While it is generally accepted that television is bad for kids -- about as healthy for the mind as chocolate covered sugar pops are for the body -- there's no denying that TV is hands down the best, cheapest, brainless baby-sitter going.

Now you can empower your young children with control over their own brain-drain with Fobis Technologies’ Weemote or Weemote 2, tot-tailored universal remote controls for most TVs, VCRs, Cable Boxes and Satellite Receivers.

With a cute, kid-friendly design, a Weemote is adult programmable (some assistance may be require; ask your kids) through a keypad secreted away within the housing. On the surface, it offers rudimentary control of on/off, volume and mute (which can be disabled entirely) and five uniquely shaped and colored buttons for favorite channels -- with up to five more, ten total, accessible through the channel-surf button.

It offers parents piece-of-mind as an appropriately programmed weemote will only give access to kids’ stations (or the A/V line-in, for that matter), bypassing the likes of SexTV, GunTV, WarTV, BlatherTV and the other two hundred and seventeen channels that make up the SH*TNetwork.
