HomeTech Reviews
It's one (nice) thing to have your HDTV mounted on the wall like so much high tech art, head-high for all to see and admire, quite another to slouch on the couch and watch its wares from a good viewing angle.
Polk Audio's SurroundBar SDA Instant Home Theater is a tres cool speaker array housed in an unobtrusive, 3-foot bar-o-audio. Sadly, retailers seem to assume that Canadian consumers are either stupid or loaded.
Oh sure, it isn't '3D-enabled,' but the Sharp Aquos LE700 Series LCD TV is a pretty spiffy HDTV for the price, sans buzzword.
As high definition television (HDTV) is no longer the technology of the future but the technology of the now, the economies of scale have allowed more and more households to upgrade to HDTV without tapping the "big ticket" savings account.
If you're longing for some big audio to match the big visuals of your big TV, check out Polk Audio's SurroundBar SDA Instant Home Theater.
So you broke down and bucked up for an HDTV and high-def cable or high-def satellite, but have little left to spend on a dedicated high def movie player which, these days, comes only in Blu-ray flavor, with prices starting at some $250 up to $1,500. Yikes.
